About Your HRV Score

Heart Rate Variability (HRV) is a measure of the variation in time between consecutive heartbeats, reflecting the autonomic nervous system's balance and adaptability.

A higher HRV reading, associated with the parasympathetic system, indicates a peaceful and powerful state of relaxation and recovery, which is beneficial. Conversely, a lower HRV reading, linked to the sympathetic system, signifies a stress state, suggesting that there is room for improvement in managing stress and enhancing well-being.

For example, if you see a reading taken at 12:07 pm and it is a higher score, you can rest assured that you are in a more relaxed, parasympathetic state. Conversely, if the reading is lower (let's say in the 30s or below), it indicates a sympathetic, stress state, highlighting moments where stress management can be improved.

While it is known that a lower heart rate is better, HRV is the opposite.  The higher the better and indication of your ability to adapt to stress.
